We deliver using a mix of our own fleet and trusted freight partners. The same company that makes your pallets, crates and cases is the one responsible for getting them to your door. If you'd rather not tie up floor space, we can hold your finished packaging at our site and call it off as you need it. One supplier, one point of contact, no finger-pointing. And we hold ourselves to a 95 per cent DIFOT target (Delivered In-Full, On-Time), so the delivery date on your quote means something.
The company behind the delivery
CMTP has been making packaging since 1976, when the business started in a workshop in Colac, Victoria. It is still family owned and still run by the family that started it. Around 250 people work across eleven manufacturing sites in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.
That matters for pallet delivery more than it sounds. A distributor quoting you a date is passing on a date somebody else gave them. We make the pallets and we book the freight, so pallet delivery in Melbourne, pallet delivery in Brisbane and interstate pallet delivery all sit with the same company, and there is one number to ring when something changes.
On time delivery is measured here rather than claimed. Every order carries a confirmed delivery date tracked against a 95 per cent DIFOT target, and DIFOT is the only number that tells you whether a supplier is actually doing the job. Pallet freight is shorter because the goods are built at the site nearest you, and pallets delivered from twenty minutes down the road cost less to move than the same pallets delivered from three states away. For customers who want 3PL logistics as well as manufacture, we hold finished stock and release it against your call-offs, so 3PL warehousing and pallet storage sit under the same roof as production. ISO 9001 quality management at Colac and Dandenong keeps the specification identical wherever it gets made.

Do you deliver interstate?
Yes. With manufacturing sites in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania, plus partner alliances in Perth and Darwin, most orders that look interstate are actually made in your own state. Where genuine interstate pallet freight is needed, we organise it as part of your quote.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the order and where it’s headed. Custom made packaging typically takes 5 to 7 days to manufacture, and we confirm your delivery date when we quote, so you know exactly when to expect it before you commit.
Is delivery quoted separately from the packaging?
No. We quote the product and the delivery together, so the price you see is the price landed at your site.
What information do I need to supply for a delivery quote?
The exact dimensions of goods (L x W x H), whether it’s for domestic or export use, the weight, quantities, and the delivery location.
Do you deliver small or one-off orders?
Yes. One-off and smaller orders get the same confirmed delivery date as our regular customers. Tell us what you need and we’ll quote it.
What is DIFOT and how do you measure up?
DIFOT stands for Delivered In-Full, On-Time. It’s the measure of whether an order turned up complete, on the day it was promised, and it’s the number that matters most if a late pallet holds up your production line. The team tracks every delivery against a 95 per cent DIFOT target, because promising a date is easy and hitting it is the actual job.
Do you offer 3PL warehousing?
Yes, for the packaging we make you. We manufacture in bulk, hold the finished pallets, crates or cases at the CMTP site nearest you, and deliver against your call-offs. It’s 3PL logistics for your packaging, run by the people who made it, so there’s no third warehouse in the chain and no second date to chase.
