Scottsdale is CMTP's timber treatment plant, in Tasmania's north-east. It treats post peelers for farmers, vineyards, landscapers and fencing contractors across the region, and it works alongside our Branxholm sawmill just up the road.
A post in the ground is up against moisture, soil and insects every day of its life. Treatment is what gives it a working life measured in decades rather than seasons, and having the plant in the north-east keeps treated posts on hand for local customers without a trip across Bass Strait.

What we produce at CMTP Scottsdale
CMTP Scottsdale is our timber treatment plant, where post peelers are treated. Treatment is what gives a post its working life in the ground, and doing it here keeps supply local for farmers, vineyards and landscapers across north-east Tasmania. The site works alongside our Branxholm sawmill just up the road.
Timber treatment
Posts are treated on site before they go out, which removes a freight leg and a handover from the process. Local treatment also means Tasmanian customers can get treated posts in the sizes and volumes they need without waiting on mainland stock.
