We offer a wide range of standard wooden cases, crates, and boxes, including standard crate and case sizes for ease of transport across Australia and overseas. We can design any case and crate you require, with consideration of access points, bearers, weight, and the size of what you want to package.
Our secure and reliable freight crating solutions for transportation of livestock can be constructed at our manufacturing facilities, or at your specified site. All pens can be supplied as a flat pack kit to reduce transport costs. We also hold a range of pens in stock for immediate delivery. Our livestock crates meet International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, and aircraft and shipping requirements.
Looking for a sustainable alternative to cardboard or plastic? Our quality wooden bins and crates have a typical lifespan of 15 to 20 years. We supply heavy duty produce bins made from top quality plantation grown pine. Our nailing system guarantees maximum strength, keeping bins strong and rigid for longer. All bins are custom built to your exact specification.
Our cardboard bulk bins are designed for transportation and storage. They have excellent strength and can be customised in size to optimise your transport situation. They’re also neat and easy to stack, which is crucial in high volume transport and storage.

We have a very busy business sending expensive and delicate joinery around the world, which needs to be wrapped and crated for maximum protection. We looked around and most crate building companies wanted a minimum 2 week turn around, which we found didn’t always work for us, then by chance we found CMTP group. Not only does Kieran and CMTP go out of their way on customer service, but their turnaround is very obliging, and their prices are competitive as well. Oh, and they only use certified export grade materials, so there’s no quarantine troubles at the other end. We would not hesitate in recommending this company.

Yes. Every crate and case is custom made to suit the size, weight and fragility of what goes inside. The range covers export cases, airfreight crates, machinery crates, livestock crates and branded cases, and every one can be ISPM 15 certified. For heavy items we work with certified structural engineers. Crates can also ship in kit form to cut freight costs.
A crate is an open timber frame, with gaps between the boards, that holds and protects an item while letting air through and keeping weight down. A case is fully enclosed, with solid sides and a lid, so it protects against weather, dust and prying eyes. Crates suit heavy, robust items. Cases suit anything fragile, high-value or travelling a long way.
It depends on the size and weight of the item, how fragile it is, where it’s going and how many you need. Heavy or high-value items need more timber, internal bracing and sometimes corrosion protection, all of which add cost. Kit-form crates can reduce freight. Send us the item’s dimensions and weight and we’ll quote it.
Yes. Large crates for machinery, plant and oversized equipment are a big part of what the team builds. Heavy loads get a reinforced base designed for forklift or crane lifting, and for the heaviest items we work with certified structural engineers to make sure the crate carries the load safely. Send us the item’s dimensions and weight, and we’ll design around it.
Every crate is built around the item it carries. Internal blocking and bracing stop the load shifting in transit, cushioning protects fragile parts, and moisture barriers and corrosion protection packaging guard against condensation and rust on long sea voyages. The goal is simple: the item arrives in the same condition it left.
Yes, if they’re made from solid timber. Any crate, case or skid made of solid wood must be heat treated and ISPM 15 stamped before it leaves Australia, or it can be refused, treated or destroyed at the border. Packaging made entirely from processed wood, such as plywood, is exempt. We build ISPM 15 certified crates and cases as standard for export.
Yes. Our mobile packaging service brings the team and materials to you, so plant and equipment can be crated, braced and protected where it stands, without being moved twice. We handle the design, ISPM 15 compliance and corrosion protection for export. It suits large, heavy or one-off items.
Yes. We build timber crates for moving livestock and animals, from sheep and goats to zoo animals. Each one is designed around the animal’s size, ventilation and safe handling, so it travels securely and with as little stress as possible. Our Glendenning site in Western Sydney specialises in animal crates.
Yes. We can stencil your company name, logo, handling instructions or part numbers straight onto crates and cases, in the wording and paint colour you choose. Branded cases look professional when they arrive at your customer’s door, and clear markings help freight handlers get it right.
A well-built wooden produce bin typically lasts 15 to 20 years. We make produce bins for agriculture, horticulture and export, built tough enough to handle years of harvests, forklifts and cool stores. They’re made at our sites in fruit and vegetable growing regions, including Mildura, Colac, Glendenning, Clontarf, Edinburgh and Branxholm.
