CMTP Glendenning is our Sydney pallet manufacturing site, in the city’s outer west right off the M4 and M7. It’s the closest CMTP site for Sydney manufacturers, third-party logistics providers and distributors, delivering across Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, the Illawarra and the Central Tablelands. The team builds timber pallets, crates, cases and corrosion protection packaging, plus produce bins for growers across the Hawkesbury and the Sydney basin. Glendenning is also CMTP’s specialist site for custom animal crates. Goats, sheep and even zoo animals have travelled in a Glendenning crate, each one built around the animal, how it’s moving and where it’s going. Western Sydney is one of the country’s biggest freight hubs, yet most of its pallet supply is trucked in. Building on the ground at Glendenning is what lets the team hold a standard 3 to 4 day lead time for Sydney operations.

The Australian standard 1165 x 1165 pallet is the most common order, alongside Euro and US export footprints. Glendenning also builds to custom dimensions where a standard footprint doesn’t suit the product or the container. Tell the team the load, the handling equipment and the destination and they’ll spec it.
An export pallet is a timber pallet that has been heat treated and certified to ISPM 15, which is what lets it leave the country. Any solid timber packaging heading overseas has to meet it. If your freight stays in Australia a standard wooden pallet does the job. If it is going on a ship or a plane it needs to be an export pallet.
A crate is an open slatted timber container, a case is fully enclosed. Crates are lighter and cheaper for robust goods. Cases give more protection for anything fragile, dust or moisture sensitive, or high value. The Glendenning team will tell you which one suits the job.
