We deliver using a mix of our own fleet and trusted freight partners. The same company that makes your pallets, crates and cases is the one responsible for getting them to your door. If you'd rather not tie up floor space, we can hold your finished packaging at our site and call it off as you need it. One supplier, one point of contact, no finger-pointing. And we hold ourselves to a 95 per cent DIFOT target (Delivered In-Full, On-Time), so the delivery date on your quote means something.
The company behind the delivery
CMTP has been making packaging since 1976, when the business started in a workshop in Colac, Victoria. It is still family owned and still run by the family that started it. Around 250 people work across eleven manufacturing sites in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania.
That matters for pallet delivery more than it sounds. A distributor quoting you a date is passing on a date somebody else gave them. We make the pallets and we book the freight, so pallet delivery in Melbourne, pallet delivery in Brisbane and interstate pallet delivery all sit with the same company, and there is one number to ring when something changes.
On time delivery is measured here rather than claimed. Every order carries a confirmed delivery date tracked against a 95 per cent DIFOT target, and DIFOT is the only number that tells you whether a supplier is actually doing the job. Pallet freight is shorter because the goods are built at the site nearest you, and pallets delivered from twenty minutes down the road cost less to move than the same pallets delivered from three states away. For customers who want 3PL logistics as well as manufacture, we hold finished stock and release it against your call-offs, so 3PL warehousing and pallet storage sit under the same roof as production. ISO 9001 quality management at Colac and Dandenong keeps the specification identical wherever it gets made.

Do you deliver interstate?
Yes. CMTP manufactures in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania, with partners in Perth and Darwin. Most orders that look interstate can actually be made in your own state, which keeps freight short. When something does have to cross a border, the freight is built into your quote.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the order and where it’s headed. Custom made packaging typically takes 5 to 7 days to manufacture, and we confirm your delivery date when we quote, so you know exactly when to expect it before you commit.
What do you need from me to quote?
The size of what you’re shipping (length, width, height), its weight, how many you need, whether it’s for domestic or export use, and where it’s being delivered.
Do you take one-off or urgent orders?
The exact dimensions of goods (L x W x H), whether it’s for domestic or export use, the weight, quantities, and the delivery location.
Do you deliver small or one-off orders?
Yes. CMTP is set up to make and deliver pallets by the truckload, so we’re the right fit for logistics operations, warehouses and distribution centres that use pallets in volume. One-off and urgent orders are welcome at that scale, and they get the same confirmed delivery date as regular customers. What is DIFOT and how do you measure up?
DIFOT stands for Delivered In-Full, On-Time. It’s the measure of whether an order turned up complete, on the day it was promised, and it’s the number that matters most if a late pallet holds up your production line. The team tracks every delivery against a 95 per cent DIFOT target, because promising a date is easy and hitting it is the actual job.
Can you supply all our warehouses and distribution centres around Australia?
Yes. With 11 sites in five states, the team can supply multiple DCs from the nearest site to each one, on one account and to one spec. Your Sydney and Melbourne sites get the same pallet.
Will your pallets work in our racking and automated systems?
Yes. Racking, conveyors and automated handling are unforgiving of a pallet that’s a few millimetres out. The team builds to your exact spec, whether that’s Australian standard (1165 x 1165 mm), Euro or US, and keeps every batch consistent so pallets run through your system without jamming.
Can you set up scheduled deliveries for regular orders?
Yes. If you go through pallets at a steady rate, we’ll set up a regular delivery schedule so stock arrives before you need it, instead of you placing a new order each time you run low.
Do you supply ISPM 15 export pallets for international freight?
Yes. CMTP makes ISPM 15 certified pallets and crates for goods heading overseas, so your freight clears biosecurity at the other end without being held up over its packaging.
Are you ISO 9001 certified?
Yes. CMTP’s Colac and Dandenong sites run under ISO 9001 quality management. For logistics customers, that means pallets are made to a documented process, not left to whoever is on the saw that day.
